An interactive session has been organized on "The Role of Pakistani Universities in Promoting Interfaith Harmony" led by Dr. Tanveer Qasim (Director Coordination at Punjab Higher Education Commission PHEC) by the Department of Islamic Studies.Before session , Dr. Tanveer Qasim had a meeting with worthy Vice Chancellor Mr.Muhammah Rehan Younas where they had discussion on interfaith harmony and educational institutes. The session witnessed active participation from respected Heads of Departments, Deans, faculty members, and students, contributing to a vibrant and engaging interaction.Dr.Tanveer Qasim eloquently emphasized the profound significance of interfaith harmony, stressing that humanity transcends religious affiliations.Dr.Tanveer Qasim emphasized the immense value of human life, irrespective of the individual's religious beliefs, stressing that such acts go against the core principles of humanity.He underscored the equality principle that all individuals are equal, irrespective of their faith, aligning this notion with the teachings of Islam that unequivocally advocate for the importance of humanity.Moreover, Dr. Tanveer Qasim likely highlighted the universality of interfaith relations among university students, emphasizing that their common humanity transcends religious affiliations.At the end Dr. Tanveer Qasim expressed deep gratitude to the University of Sialkot's management for inviting him to engage with the youth.
